Updates

So I realize I still need to post slide shows from September, October, November and December, but until I can get that done I figured I should give a general update:

Inen is getting so big! He has been doing his first year of preschool, and is doing well there. Our most recent developmental milestone has been potty training. He's making real good progress, to the point where he's peeing in the toilet consistently, and pooping in the toilet, um, almost consistently.

Louisa is happy, healthy, and growing so fast. She has been crawling very well. She stands well, too; and on December 31, 2011, she took her first step (from Daddy to Mommy, if I remember correctly). She says a few words like "daddy, mommy, brother, more," and "water." She signs "more, please," and "drink." She's got great rhythm, and loves to clap, dance and sing. On Monday, January 9, Louisa will be 1 year old!

I'm so proud of my kids!
I'll try to post more slide shows and pics soon.

Month in Review: August 2011

In which we go to a water park in McMinnville, take in the Yamhill County Fair, and I set up 20 blog posts with month-by-month slide shows to make up for over a year and a half of not blogging.

PS - At this point I have lost nearly 30 pounds since Louisa was born. Pray that I can keep it up and continue getting healthier for my kids.

Month in Review: July 2011

In which the kids continue to get cuter, we enjoy Independence Day at Champoeg and at home, Louisa begins eating solid foods, we vacation at Newport, and attend the Old Fashioned Festival.

Month in Review: May 2011

In which the kids fall asleep in funny places, we see neat birds at our new bird feeder, and Mothers Day comes around.

Month in Review: April 2011

In which I beat back the blackberries behind our backyard, many tulips and daffodils are growing, and Louisa's first Easter.

Month in Review: March 2011

In which we start the month with a trip to the coast, Louisa starts smiling, and we celebrate some birthdays.
